~Taipei Taipei~

Woah WOAH.... It has been a great trip to Taipei with my good buddy.. Imagine being good friends with her for the past 1 decade, this is the first time I ever been out travelling out with her...
This trip to Taipei has been rather fulfilling. The 2 of us, being adventuours and sporty, we went out trying to explore every little possible corner we could, been to 4 night markets, practically one every day, and tried hotspring at Beitou - but more to a mosquito-feeding session to me.. just a short 15mins, both of us kena bitten everywhere... Then we also have been eating from morning till night time, although not non-stop, but quite scary lar.. Even try the authentic Ding Tai Feng that is originated from Taiwan, but the standards are quite the same lar...
Food from Ding Tai Feng
And guess what, when we were there the 2nd day, we encountered their Typhoon called "Long Wang" - Dragon King. It was the third typhoon that Taiwan encountered this year and was blown from HuaLian. Poor HuaLian, the place was quite ruined. The typhoon arrived on the 2-Oct night time, but left the next day. We were quite scared that the typhoon would ruin our day, but it went off quickly, and we continued our journey the next day. The weather was still quite unpredictable, occassional rains and also sudden winds, almost blew me and geok away, but was pretty interesting to experience that. (lucky not being blown away, ~heng ah~)
Then we met geok's fren in Taipei, and we went to DanShui, took a boat to another island opposite DanShui, and then we went to the TongHua night market (but not as good as HuaXi or Shilin night market), then also to their fashion wholesale place. This place is where there are tonssssss of stalls selling similiar stuff, and their prices are supposed to be cheapest, as they are the source. And then, after that, we still managed to grab some deserts - Mango Ice... slurp slurp.. Nice siah...

Delicious Desert - with mango, kiwi and strawberry! And of course, 1 BIG scope of MANGO ice-creamm... Cool!!

5D4N - seems long yet short... anyway, is fun to explore on ur own with frens..

I will recommend Royal Castle Hotel, consider a not bad hotel, near Ximenting square and within budget.

Cheerios! ;)
